Kiln was candled after 5 pm on Saturday and brought to cone 8 by Sunday 4 pm. Mary and I began our shift as Thom B and John took a dinner break. We worked until 1:30 am. John put a whole bucket load of soda mixed with sawdust, directly into the firebox. The flame effects at the top of the stack showed orange and green. Below: Mary stoking the beast.
