Caliente Cliffs

On one of our many road trips exploring Nevada we found ourselves in the town of Caliente, a former mining community and later a ghost town. Heading out beyond the town we noticed a line of interesting looking cliffs. We stopped for our lunch near these cliffs while enjoying the cool breezes (elevation 4,400 ft) as we each painted the view. This work is titled Caliente Cliffs, original watercolor on arches cold press, 14 x 10, 2002.
